Want Fuller-Looking Hair? Try This Root-Lift Technique
If your hair looks full in the morning but falls flat by lunch, where you place your hairspray may be part of the problem.

Watch the lesson
Want fuller-looking hair?
Watch the placement technique: lift the crown, mist lightly underneath, let it settle, then release and shape.

The simple answer
Long-lasting lift starts at the base—not with a heavy layer over the top.
A heavy surface application can make fine hair feel stiff and pull the shape down. A light mist underneath a lifted crown section supports the base while helping the lengths stay soft and movable.

What you may notice
- The crown looks full after styling but loses shape as the day continues.
- The surface feels stiff while the roots underneath still look flat.
- Adding more spray over the top makes the hair feel heavier instead of fuller.
Try this
- Lift a clean section at the crown before applying product.
- Mist very lightly underneath near the roots, following the distance on the product label.
- Let the product settle and dry briefly before releasing the section.
- Shape gently with your fingers or a brush, then use only a light surface mist if needed for flyaways.
